"I remember as far back as Jr. High the counselors and teachers assisting us with career choices. I had a terrible time deciding what I wanted to do for "THE REST OF MY LIFE!!" (I can relate to Barry from the Bee Movie) I knew I loved animals & art and enjoyed science & research, but also had a high interest in architecture, business development, public relations and law. Finally, I did the responsible thing and began taking college classes in computer science and business. (Although I dreamed of National Geographic and NOAA often!!) I graduated college when I was 17 and immediately began working for a temporary service and realized that what motivated me was meeting new people, new experiences, new challenges and learning EVERYTHING I could. Even though I was offered several full time positions with prestigious company's, I stayed with the temporary service until I landed at a small architecture firm as their office manager. At the same time I was drawing old downtown Kirkland buildings that the local newspaper would print from time to time. Architecture is still a big love of mine, my husband often indulges me by driving me around downtown Seattle, Tacoma and through the country, just to look at architecture, old or new. (Thanks Stew.) Have I grown up yet and chosen a career? NO! There is still so much to learn! In fact I've started another business called Network CXL, it's a social media profile management company for busy executives that want to participate in social media but just don't have the time.
